WELCA

Women of the Evangelical Church of America (WELCA) is an organization of all women in the congregation. They commit to growing in faith, supporting one another, engaging in ministry and action to promote healing and wholeness in the church, society and the world. Some of our activities include monthly Bible study programs with other cluster churches, visits to the  Belair Nursing Home, and the preparation of personal care kits and layettes for Lutheran World Relief for those in need. Our Knitwits have crocheted or knitted lap robes, baby blankets and many other items for patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and chemotherapy facilities. Our church fair is held annually to support the ministries of Christ Lutheran Church as well as various outreach programs. We all look forward to the annual Pot-Luck Dinner as well as the Anniversary and Spring Luncheons. These activities allow time for fellowship. We encourage all women of the church to participate in WELCA.
